Support Hannah’s Internship at Project Mexico

Christ is risen! Many of you have gotten to know Hannah Petker, who moved to Saskatoon from Langley, where she was in Fr. Michael Gillis’ parish, Holy Nativity. Hannah spent some time at Project Mexico this winter, working with the infants in their orphanage. Now, she is heading back to intern in their home-building program.

Most of you are already familiar with Project Mexico’s work. But for those who don’t: Project Mexico builds homes for struggling families in Northern Mexico, at no cost. Each home is built over four days with the help of volunteer teams from across the United States and Canada. Many of our own members have journeyed down over the years to help build, including myself.

You can read about it here: www.projectmexico.org

Hannah’s unpaid internship costs her $4,200 CDN.
Any contribution — whether financial or through prayer — is valuable.

If you would like to support her, you can make a donation to Holy Nativity’s missions fund, which is helping her pay for the internship. You can e-transfer to treasurer@holynativitychurch.ca and designate the funds for MISSIONS. That way, they will know what you are donating towards. These donations are eligible for a tax receipt from the church, but please note that you cannot include her name on the donation memo line for CRA compliance reasons. It’s also helpful if you tell them your name.

If you are donating from the USA (or just prefer the convenience) please use the following link to make donations directly through Project
Mexico @ pm.managedmissions.com/MyTrip/hannahpetker1

Please pray for Hannah and the families she and her fellow interns will be serving.
