Death and Bereavement in the Orthodox Church

Zoom retreat 16-17 December

Dr. Sarah Byrne-Martelli will present an Orthodox Christian perspective on death, grief, and bereavement. Sarah is a Board Certified Palliative Care Chaplain from Massachusetts, and she is endorsed as a Chaplain by the Antiochian Archdiocese.  She has recently published “Memory Eternal: Living with Grief as Orthodox Christians,” from Ancient Faith Publications. With an MDiv from Harvard, a Doctor of Ministry from St. Vladimir’s Seminary, and 20 years of ministry to the sick and dying, Sarah offers us a wealth of knowledge and insight.

We will be watching the retreat in-person at St. Vincent’s, for those who wish to attend. Please email Fr. Herman if you want to come in-person, so that we can prepare food. For all others, zoom is available.
